IMPACTING CHANGE:
TALENT MANAGEMENT: Brokerage Performance
His published dissertation defended the notion that personality testing is a critical tool in recruitment and selection in real estate brokerage organization. His research published title: Beyond Real Estate Licensing: Case Study Analysis of Behavioral Assessment Relationship Applied to Human Development (2009). ProQuest. His hallmark research study of personality testing was adopted into New York Law and Rules and Regulations, Real Estate Broker Education Curriculum (2018) that required real estate brokers to train and supervise sponsored licensees, but also include suggested personality testing as a resource in hiring licensees, who are capable, trustworthy, and meets the characteristics of desired performance. Dr. Conrad has conducted ongoing research of personality testings and have created a behavioral framework from over 250 assessments to determine potential successful real estate characteristics in newly hires. The research study titled: A Case Study Analysis of the Characteristics of Sales Agents Who Remain in the Industry. What emerged from this study is a "TALENT PERSPECTIVE" that can be generalized and applied to real estate and mortgage banking employers in the selections of potential talented hires. A brief overview presented at the January 2023 REEA DREI Summit Review Panel, presenting the core principles and applications. Such project will be published as a workshop textbook for real estate professionals. Dr. Conrad has published a series of articles listed on his LinkedIn profile and published study materials targeting (6) focus areas: Talent Management, Organizational Learning, Strategic Management, Accounting Strategy, Transactional Strategy, and Finance Strategy, for real estate and mortgage professionals.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING: Faculty and Classroom Performance
Dr. Conrad contends in conducted independent research that personality assessments goes beyond real estate brokerage or mortgage brokerage recruitment and talent selection, but to also extend to the recruitment and selection of real estate educators. Based on research results Dr. Conrad reports that Real Estate Instructor Behavioral Assessments and Classroom Management Techniques are necessary for educators to understand and master self while applying effective methods in handling difficult classroom situations and instructor negative criticism. If educators are unaware of their behaviors and how they are perceived by adult learners; if instructors are unaware how they handle difficulty situations and criticism, such unawareness could lead to potential sources of instructional difficulty and professional derailment. Research case study, titled Effective Human Development Applied to Real Estate Educators. The study emerged a framework and model named "BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCE" to guide newly and seasoned educators in the characteristics of human development impacting instruction. This project will be published as a workshop textbook for real estate educators. Dr. Conrad contends in a conducted independent study that approximately 50% of the population of real estate educators are experiencing unrealized value. A case study was conducted to understand the phenomenon and provide effective applications to increase the realized worth among educators. June 2023 REEA Conference, Las Vegas, REEATalks, was titled “Do You Know Your True Value?” The REEATalks was supported by the conducted research case study titled: Effective Business Modeling Applied to Real Estate Educators. The study emerged a framework and model named the “COMPETITIVE EDGE” to guide real estate educators how to achieve greater realized value. Dr. Conrad Richards, was elected (June, 2022-2023), as REEA President-Elect of Real Estate Educators Association. As the former Education Committee Chair and member of the Real Estate Educators Association, a National Organization that serves to provide support and guidance in developing instructional standards for real estate educators. As Chair of the education committee, he has served and develop new strategies in program development and design, program business definition, operationalized program policies and procedures, program promotion and release, and organizational strategies. He has led the development of the REEA GSL program, REEA National program, REEA Curriculum Library program, and strengthening and protecting REEA intellectual properties.
